It's great to see a new brand launch in this country and even better when they launch using radio. Well done to NetFlix for recognising that radio could offer them great frequency and national coverage. And with strong and effective creative listeners are in no doubt what this new service is, how they can get it and how much it costs them in an entertaining way. This should give all brands confidence to communicate with potential customers effectively through radio.

Last week also saw Tesco react to their share price bombshell with a daylong promotion on Absolute Radio where listeners could win a cash prize by guessing correctly the lowest priced item from a choice of two. Look how quickly Tesco were able to build a partnership with Absolute, be involved with the editorial output in an entertaining way whilst driving home key brand messages. If it's an immediate solution you need, look no further than Radio.

There is a short team opportunity to sponsor the Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show on the Absolute Radio Network. Available from now until the 16th March.

Monday to Friday, 6am-10am, Christian and the Breakfast Team wake the nation with their unique blend of topical humour, comical observations and great music. Christian has a great breakfast show team, including producer Ritchie who is normally on the receiving end of The OC's playful banter!

The Breakfast Show has played host to some major celebrity debacles, including David Tennant's legendary takeover, Ricky Gervais winning 'Who's Calling Christian' and who could forget the infamous David Cameron Twitter comment, "too many twits might make a tw*t!" Naughty PM!

The OC constantly tweets and updates his Facebook with all the behind the scenes shenanigans from the Breakfast Show, he's just a digital savvy kinda guy!

They're not just all about Celebs in the studio either, who could forget when they gave away DAB Radios live on the Breakfast Show to the first 100 van drivers that showed up at 1 Golden Square causing utter gridlock in W1, lets just say the Breakfast Show doesn't do things by halves!

For your chance to be associated with the award winning breakfast show and reach over 7.8 million adult listeners across the UK call Katie on 0207 90-70-6-70 or email her at KatieG@radioworks.co.uk

STATION OF THE WEEK

This week's Station of the Week comes from Emma Hill, RadioWorks Regional Director

This week it's not a station that gets my vote, it's a show. Dave Gorman's Sunday Morning show on Absolute Radio indulges all of my radio tick list; first there's Dave Gorman (huge massive tick), second I can hear it on my kitchen DAB (huge shock some may say given where I choose to live!), and third there's a great mix of music and banter (hugely fine line on getting that balance right). Absolute Radio do an awful lot of things right in my opinion, and hiring the legend that is Dave Gorman was definitely one of them, he's not only funny but he's also friends with Rick Stivens - get yourself to see his PowerPoint Presentation if you want to find out more about that special friendship!

This client has used Bid4Spots continuously for almost a year and response levels continue to be high. They wanted to achieve airtime on stations in the London area but the cost of scheduled airtime had been a barrier previously. Using Bid4Spots meant that radio became a more viable part of the media schedule, and has led to scheduled airtime bookings also.
