The Essex Heart stations are the latest to combine as part of the Global Radio re-structure that will create a new mini region.

The new region merged Heart Colchester and Heart Essex at 10am this morning. Hit music station Ten 17 is rebranding to join them on Monday morning at 6am.

Ten 17 has already changed its website with Heart red with a banner saying ‘Heart is coming’. Martin and Su will front the new breakfast show on the station.

Also this morning, Mercury Crawley will combine with Heart Sussex to form Heart Sussex and Surrey, Mercury Watford will re-launch as Heart Hertfordshire.
