Loads of people have iPhones and loads of people listen to the radio so what genius thought of combining the two in a clever application called Tunein Radio.

I don’t know who actually came up with the idea there but I’d like to shake that person by the hand.

They have partnered with RadioTime, a privately held Dallas based company that focuses on providing complete radio content and tools to help listeners quickly and easily find their favourite station and personalities plus discover new ones.

The iPhone app let’s you browse or search for stations local to you or by genre, location and language.

It covers stations from all over the world including the USA, New Zealand and Europe. Aside from being able to listen to radio conveniently while you’re on the move, the app will allow you to pause, rewind and record radio so you will never miss anything, be it a goal, a funny moment or an advert and that’s not all. . . . .you have further options that recommend other stations similar to those you’re listening to, schedule information, links to web and twitter pages as well as a sleep timer!

And finally, it has a built in web browser so you can get on the web while using the app. It’s priced at just £1.19 and is worth every penny!
